Incorporated on 28 August 1978 as the National Association of Malaysian Life Insurance Agents (NAMLIA), the National Association of Malaysian Life Insurance and Family Takaful Advisors (NAMLIFA) today is the premier organization for life insurance professionals and financial planners/practitioners.
NAMLIFA is a professional body that protects and strengthens the critical role of the life insurance industry through sound financial services and the essential role of the agency force.
About The Event
Every year, NAMLIFA would have their National AKARD Summit done on-site, planned and run by their very own in-house organising team. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they have decided to engage Evenesis as their technology partner to hold the event virtually through a webinar.

What Were They Searching For?
Organising a virtual event was an entirely novel experience for the NAMLIFA team.
Lacking database management expertise, they had trouble managing the database. On top of that, their members were spread across the country and they had to extend the invitation to the past office bearers and the current office bearers.
To help with this situation, we have opened a registration link for the members and have sent out invitations to the VIP guests. Basically, most of the work was done through email and excel.

- Online Registration Management System
COVID-19 apart, one of the main challenges with the physical event previously was managing the registration. In handling two different types of participants; paid and invited (free access), Evenesis has the solution.
To deal with paid attendees,
An event microsite was created and the link to the registration form was distributed via email blasting and the agents.
To deal with invited guests,
A single-action RSVP feature was used. By responding to the RSVP invitation email, the recipient could RSVP to the event within seconds!
- Instant Notification System
Due to stricter enforcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO) by the government, the event was postponed to a later date than the actual scheduled date. Despite the short notice we had, we managed to notify all attendees about event postponement through email and SMS blast.
- Technological Support
To make the event experience far more seamless and smoother for the audience, the Evenesis event platform allows speakers to upload their video files and slides.
Since the video and presentation slides were fed directly from the server, the image quality was so much better, neither hiccups nor lags occurred.
NAMLIFA also appreciated how we had our technicians always on standby, navigating through the online webinar with the introduction videos, slides and speakers’ videos.
- Virtual Activity & Reward Management
Before the event day, they managed to activate the promo code and sent out those promo codes to the paid attendees as well. At the end of the session, a lucky draw event was conducted at the end of the session. So, if you have any small activity in mind, we can customise it for you.
